Marie Laveau Painting

I love stories about strong women who use their inherent gifts to make a difference in their own lives and the lives of others. Marie Laveau is one such woman in our history. She used her ancestral gifts during her time to benefit her life and the lives of others. Because she was smart enough and strong enough to do this, she became known as the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans.

Work in progress shots of my painting of Marie Laveau

She built a life, a business and a name for herself because she lived her life authentically. Similarly, we each also have our own special, inherent or natural gifts. We are given these gifts for reason and that reason is to use them. We use our gifts because that is where our purpose lies. To use our gifts is to live our lives authentically. Are you in tune with your natural gifts and talents? And if so, are you putting them to use?

This painting along with prints and prayer cards can be found in my shop.
